The Complete Guide

Hawaii Card Shows: Every Island, Every Show, Every Shop

The Hawaii trading card scene is one of the fastest-growing hobby communities in the state. Here's everything you need to know about finding shows, shops, and community across all four main Hawaiian islands.

In This Guide

The Hawaii TCG Scene

If you collect Pokemon, sports cards, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, or One Piece in Hawaii, you're part of something special. The islands have quietly built one of the most tight-knit trading card communities in the country — where Oahu alone hosts more than ten regular shows every month, and where a single card show can pull more than 1,400 attendees through the door.

What makes the Hawaii scene different is the community. Everyone knows everyone. Organizers support each other's shows. Shop owners collaborate instead of compete. The aloha spirit carries into every trade night and every weekend showcase. Whether you're a serious investor chasing grade-10 slabs or a kid cracking packs for the first time, there's a place for you here.

This guide walks through every island, every major show, and every card shop we know about. If something's missing, let us know — this is a community document.

Quick stats (as of 2026): 4 islands • 25+ card shops • 10+ regular shows per month on Oahu alone • shows happening almost every week across the islands • weekly newsletter to 500+ subscribers and growing.

Oahu — The Hub

Oahu is ground zero for Hawaii trading card culture. The highest density of shops, the most frequent shows, and the biggest single events all happen here. If you're visiting Hawaii and have time for one card show or one shop, make it Oahu.

Big Island — Hilo & Kona

The Big Island card scene splits between Hilo (east side) and Kona (west side). Each side has its own hobby ecosystem, and driving between them takes a couple of hours — so most collectors stick to their side. Both sides are growing.

Shows on the Big Island

TCG Hawaii Trade Night

Every 1st Friday of the month at TCG Hawaii in Hilo. Monthly community trade night — casual, welcoming, the regular pulse of the Hilo scene.

KBXtreme Event

Every 1st Sunday of the month at TCG Hawaii in Hilo. Part tournament, part trade, part community gathering — draws collectors from across the island.

Kona (West Side)

Big Island Breaks

Big Island Breaks in Kailua-Kona is Pokemon-heavy — sealed, singles, slabs, and live breaks. One of the few dedicated card shops on Hawaii's west side, filling an important gap for collectors who'd otherwise have to order online or travel to Oahu.

Maui — The Valley Isle

Maui's card scene has been quietly building momentum. Between community-run trade nights and dedicated shops, there's more happening on the Valley Isle than most outsiders realize. The scene is driven by a small but committed group of organizers, with @juanguyscollection leading many of the community trade nights and Maui Sports Cards hosting regular shop events.

How to Get Involved

If You Want to Attend Shows

Start with the upcoming shows calendar on hawaiicardshows.com. It shows a rolling 7-day window of what's happening this week. Show up with cash, your trade binder, and an open mind. Most shows are low-pressure — browse, talk, make friends.

If You Want to Become a Vendor

Reach out directly to the show organizer — each show listing includes their Instagram or email. Vendor table fees run $100–$200 depending on the show size. Start small with a trade night before committing to a larger convention. Check our vendor FAQ for more details.
